ZŠ Opava, Vrchní 19 – p.o. – Czech republic

ZŠ Opava, Vrchní school is located in the Moravia-Silesian region, has got about 490 pupils. The main focus of the school is overall development of pupils’ knowledge and skills relevant to taught subjects. Own experience is one of the best ways how to learn new things and how to remember them for a long time. That is why our pupils are always involved in projects; school supports their active involvement in different competitions and pupils Olympic games. And pupils are successful in it. School supports various types of teaching activities such as English language teaching according to the knowledge level of pupils, English language conversational lessons, individual attitude of teachers toward pupils, special pedagogue care, lots of sport activities such as skiing course, swimming course, free time sport clubs and hand creation labs, active participation of pupils in Czech republic and international projects. If there is a interest from the side of pupils, school management tries to find a way how to organise an activity in the field of their interest.

4 DIMOTIKO PEFKON – Greece

Our school is a primary school located in the suburbs of Thessaloniki. There are about 240 students (aged 6-12, grades 1- 6) in 12 classes. We have about 25 teachers that work in our school. Our teachers have already participated in Environmental projects/ Recycling, on Social Issues, on Dramatizations- Cultural projects, Health Education and creative reading projects. Our school has been participating in 7 Erasmus projects since 2014 both as a coordinating and participant organisation. There are 2 Special Education teachers at school. The school principal, a teacher, and the English teacher who will be the contact person of this project will be the key people in the project. All of them have previous experience in Erasmus+ projects and they are fluent speakers of English. Our English teacher, has a master degree in the construction of European Erasmus+ projects.

Szkola Podstawowa nr 1 z Oddzialami Integracyjnymi im. Powstancow Slaskich – Poland

Primary School No. 1 in Racibórz is located in the oldest district of the city called Ostróg and it employs qualified teaching staff, focused on the continuous development of their competences and skills. From 1998 we are a school with integration departments attended by children with disabilities and with special educational needs. “School in Ostróg”, the colloquial name of the school, is the only institution of this type in the region with many years of experience in organizing work with children with special educational needs. Currently, there are 10 integration departments. 499 students attend the facility, including 29 children with a special education certificate.

Our school cares for both social and harmonious physical development. Much emphasis is also placed on the integration of people with disabilities. We strive to teach young people to use and process different sources of information, as well as to communicate effectively and make the right choices. Our teachers try to combine modern teaching methods with the history and passion for the traditions and culture of the nation. We are not afraid to introduce changes for the better, therefore we cooperate intensively with schools from Europe using their experiences. As part of many projects our school has cooperated with such countries as: Great Britain, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Greece, Germany. Teachers working in our school implement pedagogical innovations and carry out educational school projects. The school also conducts various ecological campaigns and collection of recyclable materials, thus teaching respect for nature and the environment. We promote learning of foreign languages, in our school students learn English, German and Spanish. The main goal of our education is the full development of each student in all spheres of his personality and we make every effort to do it effectively.

Bodrum Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi – Turkey

Our school is in Bodrum,Muğla.Bodrum science and Art Center went into action at 2018.The students who learn faster than their equals, have high capacity in creativity, art and leadership, can understand the abstract ideas, like acting independently on their interests, overperform and have special academic success study at our educational institution after their schools. Our institution is an official institution with in. the body of Ministry of Education. There are 13 teachers and 83 students in our institution. Gifted children who range in age from 8-18 study at our institution. The students are accepted into our center after three-phased evaluation which takes approximately six months. The teachers who work at our centre are selected among professionalists by a special evaluation. Our center’s mission is to be an innovative institution to be able to iaise ideal generations that mostly need to learn and research, follow the scientific and technological developments,show respect to themselves, their families, homeland and nation, embark on national,moral,cultural and universal values,express their feelings easily and know that it’s their responsibility to determine their country’s future.Our center’s vision is to be a model school which strives for a modern Turkey.There are visual arts,technology design,music,mind games,wood painting and information technologies workshops in our center. In addition, we will open basketball, football and table tennis workshops for our students. Thanks to the workshops, our institution will have teams in these sports branches and they will work throughout the year. In the district, in the province and we even plan to participate in competitions in the country.

We are aware that sports are indispensable for our students’ physical and mental health. Our music teacher has been practicing “Body Percussion” with our students for a long time. Body Percussion helps our students to develop rhythm, intelligence and emotions. It affects their psychology positively. It reduces stress, helps in the treatment of hyperactivity, panic attacks and many psychological disorders. It takes away from violence.Our “Love Bond Lover Network” project has been accepted with in the Youth Projects organized by the Mİnistry of Youth and sports and it has been implemented since February. We also run “Zero Waste” project and organize natural science camps. We have initiatives on climate change and global warming. We also work with our students to generate hot water solar energy. We are currently running two Erasmus projects on climate change with our partners, with the participation of all students.
